A: The web site migration service on offer at EtherVPS is completely free of charge and involves moving all your files, databases and e–mails from your current web hosting provider to your new web hosting account with us. We’ll also edit all the settings necessary for your web sites to be fully operational on our advanced cloud hosting platform.Our techs are fully capable of moving any sort of site. With years of work experience behind their backs, they are well–versed in the inner workings of our cloud hosting platform, our Control Panel and all other popular Control Panels. For them, transferring a custom application with plenty of custom libraries is as easy as moving a simple WordPress–based blog.

A: While we can’t give you a precise time interval, since there are many variables, among them the size of the web files and databases, the location of the present host’s server, the complexity of your website and the present workload of our Website Migration Department, etc., we’ll do our best to migrate your site within 48h, and in some cases – within 24h (if the website content is not large).

A: Yes. We will require the name of the website that you would like us to move. We will also need a means to log in to your old hosting account so that we can get the content associated with your web site.

A: Before we can start the migration of your hosting account, you must already have an account with us. Opening an account with us will require that you to share virtually the same information you have provided to your current web host. We’ve also got a very rigorous Privacy Policy, which specifies how personal information is dealt with.

A: No. Your site will continue to be online during the transfer. As soon as everything is done on our end, we will inform you so that you can preview it and check for problems. If everything is okay, all you will have to do is modify your domain name’s DNS records.

A: While we migrate your content, your hosting provider will not be aware of the migration at all. We won’t touch base with them in any way.

A: We can migrate your site from any web hosting provider or any Linux–powered web hosting platform as long as we can obtain access to the Control Panel and there’s File Transfer Protocol access available.The only web sites that we can’t migrate are those based on closed–source software apps such as Wix, BaseKit, Jimdo, Website Tonight, Four Square and Mr Site.
