.NAME Domains

Set up in 2001, the Dot NAME universal top-level extension is the sole TLD supposed to be for personal sites only. These domain names can include personal or fictitious names, aliases and/or other titles people are famous by. At the beginning, only third-level registrations were possible, so if you wanted to order john.doe.name, you had to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was liberalized and second-level registrations were also allowed. Existing third-level domains remained online.

Through our firm, you can buy your dot NAME domain for an interval between one and ten years. You will be able to edit the WHOIS contact information, to park your domain, to create Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an already registered domain to our company if you acquire its EPP transfer key from the present registrar company and we will renew it after the transfer has been done. There are no particular rules on who can obtain a .NAME domain, but in order to keep the concept behind its creation alive, the Registry may verify who the owner is and if there is no link between the owner and the actual domain, the registration can be challenged.
